For me this exposed the core problem: - That there was very little understanding of formulating or creating a recipe. If Caribbean artisans could create their own recipes, it would free them from depending on recipes written by the artisans in other countries who had different raw materials at their disposal.
Thus, the idea for the Handbook was born. It takes the reader step by step through the process of creating a recipe. It also step by step, instructs the reader on how to combine ingredients in the recipe.
Just in case laziness sets in, which it often does, recipes are also provided in the Handbook.
